-agreed... with prices like yours, its not even realistic for me to buy the program. instead my only options are to use gimp or download a torrent.

-Totally agree - the pricing is INSANE. I understand it's a great program and an industry standard, but I don't think Adobe realizes that by having the price SO high, many people would rather resort to getting it on a Torrent site and cracking it.

-Agree. At least normalise the US / EU prices. Why should I pay 20-50% more for an English ISO download.
Even taking local sales tax (VAT) into account you're serious "gouging" EU customers.

-If you think prices in US are high take a look at Europe: Adobe products cost three times (!!!) as much.... WHAT IS THE RATIONALE ABOUT THAT?

-http://www.dearadobe.com/You%20guys%20really%20think%20it's%20that%20expensive? $1700 for Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects. If you have a job that uses any of these products, that's probably a week's pay. Even if they make it $5, people will be too poor to buy it. They're not a charity. They have hundreds of engineers to pay.

-If Flash is the wave of the future for the web...
...Why are your prices STILL so g******ed HIGH?!
Get off your trillion-dollar yachts, lower your
prices and improve your products!

-Adobe student discounts are stingy. Adobe wants to starve students to death.

-Adobe is actually doing some very cleaver marketing, by pricing there product so high students are forced to download the product and crack it.
By doing this they are learning how to use Photoshop and when they go into business this will be their software of choice and they will buy it. You having an illegal copy costs adobe nothing.

-True, I would by photoshop if it was within the $300 range and less for the upgrades. Instead I haven't upgraded since version 6. I switched to gimp. I know you clean up in the business sector but there are plenty of average Joes would drop some coin to avoid using Elements if it wasn't quite so out of reach.
